The Location

The villa is situated minutes away from the charming and bustling town of L'Isle sur la Sorgue. It is the antique capital of France and home to one of the most fabulous Sunday markets. Provence is famous for its weather and its striking light, with sunshine and clear skies for 300+ days per year, your senses are alive and engaged wherever you go. Pack a picnic lunch, hop in the car, and enjoy a picturesque drive through the winding roads of the nearby famous hilltop towns of Provence, including Gordes, Menerbes, and Bonnieux. Just outside the gates you can bike or walk on the charming roads safely, where cars rarely appear.

The Home

An elegant bastide built on an iconic apple farm in the 17th century, initially named "Le Petit Hôpital." The property has been meticulously restored to its original charm with fully modernized infrastructure and high-end furniture and antiques from sought-after sources. At 12,000 sq. ft with 3 wings and numerous escapes, it is perfect for large groups and yet still very cozy for two.  Each of the 8 bedrooms has an ensuite and there is a private studio apartment with its own entrance. Bedrooms are privately spaced with many lounges and salons located throughout allowing large group gatherings.

The Grounds

One of the most loved areas of the home is its courtyard, secretly contained behind grand antique iron gates. You are surrounded by twelve 200-year-old Platane trees, casting dreamy shade in the intoxicating Provençal sun. Designed by two of France’s top landscape architects, the grounds are dotted with idyllic gardens and secret hideaways. The long driveway is lined with olive and cypress trees and exhilarating lavender plantings and a dramatic view of Mont Ventoux in the distance. Take a refreshing swim in the newly restored pool, or sip a glass of Provençal rosé in one of the numerous alfresco dining areas.

Guest Reviews

This was by far the best traveling experience I have ever had. We were able to accommodate a group of 15 comfortably, while giving them an experience they will never forget. This setting was the perfect backdrop for our small intimate wedding. I wouldn't change anything, other than leaving this incredible place.
